WONDER WOMAN Nears $600m With Strong Third Weekend

Wonder Woman raked in another $41.3m domestically and $39.5m internationally for a total haul of $571.8m so far, according to two Forbes reports. While $41.3m may not be an eyebrow-raising number, the financial magazine points out that it is the third-lowest box office drop from second to third weekends for any film that opened over $100m at the box office, which infers a higher-than-usual sustained interest in the film after the usual opening weekend peak.

By that metric, the financial trade reports that only Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and last year's live action Jungle Book have done better in that time frame. Wonder Woman now also boasts the fourth-highest grossing third weekend of any superhero movie, with only Avengers, Spider-Man, and The Dark Knight performing better in the third week of their respective runs. The film has also claimed the title of the eleventh-biggest third box office weekend of all time for any film, in terms of domestic numbers.

Wonder Woman's worldwide rollout continues with Belgium on June 21, Egypt and Spain on June 23, and Japan on August 25.

Sta riducendo la forbice con BvS, sempre in Usa ovviamente. Dovrebbe farcela a superare i 300 casalinghi e assestarsi come SS e BvS. All'estero assolutamente no, è lontanissima in quasi tutti i paesi da "grande incasso" come Cina, Uk, Francia, Australia, Russia ecc. Solo in Taiwan e nelle Filippine sta facendo incassi "simili" a BvS, poi deve uscire ancora in Germania e Giappone ma cmq il gap è alto. Se si mantiene può superare la soglia 700 mln worldwide che in partenza era da considerare davvero un traguardo enorme.

P.S: io spero che oltre a me ci sia anche qualcuno in WB che fa queste analisi e che si accorge che in USA su 3 film DC hai fatto lo stesso incasso, il che fa sospettare che il bacino sia attualmente saturo e che quindi per fare il famoso miliardo in JL devi riuscire fare qualcosa per aumentarlo proprio in Usa. Oppure se ti accorgi che proprio non è possibile per "divergenza di gusti" (mettiamola così) ti resta solo da raggiungere i 700 esteri, cosa che per la cronaca non è riuscita neanche a Nolan...
