Manca una settimana e vorrei essere già in sala.
Certo che ogni giorno ne esce una nuova sempre meno felice. Che disastro. Non ci avrei scommesso un euro su una catastrofe per questo film.

Secondo me è solo marketing in vista di un eventuale Ultimate Edition.

Dopo che Ayer ha assicurato che non ci sarà io mi sentirei preso in giro.

Magari non una Ultimate Edition come fatta per BvS con un disco apposito, ma non mi stupirei che includessero comunque quelle scene come extra.

Poi siamo onesti, marketing o meno, se questa è la reazione di Leto, attore con cui si presume la DC/WB dovrà lavorare ancora per i futuri film, faranno di tutto per tenerselo buono, e se questo significa rilasciare una versione del film che monti le sue scene, non credo si faranno dei problemi a farlo.

Non ci sarà alcuna versione estesa. Lo stesso Ayer ha parlato di una decina di minuti tagliati. Leto è uno che si cala totalmente nel personaggio, ci sta che voglia apparire poi il più possibile. Poco male, avrà ampio spazio in altri film.

Ayer ha semplicemente detto che quella che esce al cinema è la SUA versione, è già la director's cut. cio non toglie che possa uscire in home video una versione con le scene eliminate, tanto piu se questa cosa farà girare le balle a Leto che è un bel pezzo da 90 come star. e soprattutto Ayer non decide se debba uscire o meno una versione estesa del film o meno... per il resto molto contento del riscontro che sta avendo fra il pubblico, anche generalista, e anche per il buon risultato che pare avere al botteghino

BOX OFFICE: 40% Fri-Sat Drop For SUICIDE SQUAD
After a stellar Friday night haul for Warner Bros. and David Ayer's Suicide Squad, a massive 40% drop on Saturday brings weekend box office expectations crashing back to the $130 million range.

After grossing $20.5 million on Thursday and a massive $65.1 million on Friday in North America, Suicide Squad suffered a massive 40% drop on Saturday, and may gross less than $40 million for the day.  If that trend continues for another massive drop on Sunday, the overall weekend box office haul for the film could end up being in the $130 million range after early estimated of $140-$150 million. 

Given the scathing reviews, it seemed likely that Suicide Squad was headed for a massive drop during the second weekend of release, similar to what happened to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but it appears that the negative reviews are actually affecting the opening weekend box office numbers. 

Despite setting records with its $166 million domestic opening weekend , Dawn of Justice also dropped 38% from Fri-Sat during that first weekend. Negative reviews and word of mouth caused the film to drop an unprecedented 68% in its second weekend of release.    In comparison, early this year, Deadpool saw just a 10% drop going from Fri-Sat during its first weekend in North American theaters and Captain America: Civil War had a small percentage decrease as well, at only 18%.  X-Men: Apocalypse saw a 22% drop from Fri-Sat during its first weekend in domestic theaters.

Next weekend, Suicide Squad will face box office competition from Pete's Dragon and Sausage Party.

Ragazzi la situazione è terribile, un drop del 40% in un solo giorno di programmazione, cioè ameno BVS il drop lo ha avuto al secondo weekeend, qua siamo al primo. Di questo passo non uscendo in Cina non arriverà nemmeno al pareggio di 750 milioni... terribile per la Warner chissà che drastiche decisioni prenderanno... e la critica ci gode...

Praticamente con questi tagli e reshot il Joker è diventato il contrario di quello che dovrebbe essere. La storiella del Joker innamorato quindi era vera. Mi ricorda la sterile polemica sui manifesti in cui Apocalisse strangolava Mystique, solo che qui hanno proprio modificato tutto il senso del personaggio.

Se un mese avessero previsto un weekend d'apertura da minimo 130 milioni sarebbe stato un successo, oggi è terribile. Fare 40 milioni in più di un GotG, che aveva il vantaggio di far parte di una franchise forte e consolidato da sei anni, sarebbe terribile. Mah.

Cioè, quanto ci aspettava da 'sto film, un miliardo? E poi perché il pareggio sarebbe a 750? Già oltre i 500 la Warner inizia a guadagnarci. Mi sembra quella barzelletta di BvS che doveva incassare almeno 900 milioni.

Ma la Warner quando mai avrebbe dichiarato che l'obiettivo minimo è 750, scusate? Si sta parlando del nulla, eh. Questo è un film che fa fare soldi alla major al di sopra dei 500 milioni, e realisticamente, se pensiamo ad un GotG rilasciato in Cina e decimo film di una saga consolidata, che fa 770 milioni globali, non possiamo davvero abboccare alle puttanate di chi dice che Suicide Squad deve fare almeno 750 milioni...
