it's funny, because everyone is so nervous and excited about the changes in the DCU. The other day, somebody asked me if Bruce Wayne's butler Alfred was still going to be Alfred, and I just Tweeted, "Yeah, of course he is, except that he's a cyborg." And I was just kidding, and like all these people got so mad. They were like, "What do you mean you're making him a cyborg!" And I was like, "Well, all his robot parts are inside though, so you'll never know it's really a cyborg." And they just did not let it go for a while.

So, in terms of the changes of the Justice League playing into Batman, you'll see a little bit. My story that was pitched to Batman editor Mike Marts was six or seven months ago, before there was a relaunch. Again, it's a big, epic story about Bruce Wayne coming back to Gotham after all of the events of [Grant Morrison's] Batman Inc., although you don't have to have read that series to enjoy this at all.
Bruce Wayne is back in Gotham, totally bad-ass Batman with new tech, but the same guy in the way his history stands. He just feels great about the city belonging to the Bat, super-confident about his skill set as Batman at this point, before a set of murders suggest that there may be this ancient evil in Gotham. Not something supernatural at all, but an organization that may have been there since the colonial days and actually, that Gotham belongs more to this symbol of an organization than it does to the Bat. Bruce Wayne begins to realize that he's only been Batman a short time in comparison to the history of Gotham City, which is 400 years old. So, maybe the city belongs to something else historically. Thus we get all these enemies who have been there from the beginning.

This is the kind of history Bruce won't admit that possibly exists because, one, he has a secret history that we reveal later with this organization, meaning that he investigated it at one point and came up empty-handed, but, two, he just can't accept that something that big, something that dark exists on his watch without him knowing it. It really goes after his confidence as a protector and legend of Gotham. Along with it, there'll be a lot of revelations about the Wayne family, about the Grayson family too, and it will all tie into "Nightwing." The epic storyline will be 11 issues long, really about a war for Gotham's soul between the Bat and this other organization, with some shocking new enemies for him built out of this mythology we're going to develop.

You won't see Bane. And I'm really not sure if you're going to see Catwoman, either, honestly. We're really just trying to do the story that we think would be the best Bruce Wayne story at this point.

Anche se Higgins aveva detto che Nightwing ne avrebbe 21 e Snyder che Bruce ne ha 33.
Insomma, ormai è chiaro che ogni autore riguardo al dilemma delle età adotta un metodo scientifico assai collaudato...

penso che questo differenze ci siano perchè concettualmente vogliono un Bruce che sia sulla trentina, Dick che sia più o meno poco più che ventenne, Tim adolescente e Damian sui 10 anni. Per me va bene così, sapere l'età esatta mi frega poco, ma almeno una età di base si

Questo però l'aveva detto già Morrison fin dall'inizio qualche anno fa, quindi perlomeno son rimasti coerenti

E' una stronzata comunque, perché Damian è chiaramente un adolescente (sia per comportamento che per resa grafica).   E' che hanno sempre paura di far sembrare vecchi i personaggi, quindi s'inventano stronzate su stronzate per ringiovanirli.

Come età vanno bene. L'importante sarebbe che la resa grafica corrispondesse a queste età,cosa che finora non è avvenuta molto spesso; infatti Damian viene raffigurato molte volte alto quanto Dick o Tim.

Contro ogni previsione a 9 giorni dall'uscita negli USA ieri mi è arrivato questo primo numero e stamattina l'ho subito letto!!! 

Devo dire che mi è piaciuto meno di quello di Daniel ma siamo comunque su ottimi livelli e il colpo di scena finale è un po' inquietante, i disegni non li apprezzati moltissimo e come molti di voi hanno detto credo di averli trovati anche io un po' troppo cartoon style!
Mi è piaciuto un casino il monologo iniziale "Gotham is", proprio bello! 

Per ora le 5 testate che ho letto sono promosse a pieni voti!!!

Mi è piaciuto tantissimo questo primo numero, non pensavo.
Non gli darei il massimo dei voti, ma lo trovo un #1 perfetto, adatto per vecchi e nuovi lettori. C'è tutto ciò che rende affascinante la mitologia di Bats: i freak, Arkham, Jim Gordon e il GCPD, la bat-caverna, le doti di Bruce come detective (Snyder pennella bene il suo carattere, anche se sono caratteristiche note) e la bat-family, viva e presente. Tim, Dick, Damian.. ci sono tutti, e ciò mi rende felice.  

In realtà gli unici dubbi che abbiamo sono appunto temporali, perchè alla fine nulla mi sembra cambiato dalla gestione Morrison, nella sostanza: Batman è in primo piano, ma anche Bruce, perfettamente a suo agio nel suo ruolo di magnate, per nulla forzato o goffo.. il piglio mi sembra lo stesso di B&R.  
C'è persino Vicky Vale, bella e ficcanaso.  

Viene ripreso anche (ma è consueto) il rapporto di Bats con la città, ponendo a noi (indirettamente) una semplice domanda: cosa identifica Gotham City? I suoi freak, il male che questa città genera ogni giorno, Batman, o altro? E' un filo conduttore semplice ma d'effetto.
Bravo Capullo, un po' "vuoto" forse in alcuni momenti, non eccelso, ma il suo Bruce è proprio BELLO (è inutile, io sono innamorata di Batman da 20 anni, mi sento sempre adolescente in questi momenti   ) e il cliffangher sul finale mi ha reso desiderosa di altre storie e curiosa. Voto (sì, mi sbilancio, è esagerato ma non importa: 8,5.



Numero "semplice" (io non riuscirei mai a scriverlo eh, grazie Scott) ma assolutamente efficace. La parte centrale a me è piaciuta tanto, proprio per la presenza forte di Bruce Wayne
