DC Comics has announced major new details about its big summer event, a new line of comic collections and updates on its Elseworlds Imprint at the ComicsPRO Comic Industry Conference.

At ComicsPRO DC revealed its summer blockbuster publishing initiative will be called Absolute Power, a four-issue series launching July 2 and led by writer Mark Waid and artist Dan Mora. Absolute Power dives into how Amanda Waller will plot to steal all metahuman abilities from superheroes and villains alike, requiring Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman to unite with other heroes of the DC Universe to stop her. DC also shared that a special Absolute Power comic will be a part of Free Comic Book Day, and it will include an original story by Waid along with a recap of the events leading up to the big event and a sneak peek of Absolute Power #1. DC also revealed Absolute Power: Ground Zero, an official one-shot prelude to the big event that will debut in June, connecting Superman's House of Brainiac storyline with Amanda Waller's evil deeds in Absolute Power.

Devo dire che mi ispira pochino, spero soltanto che questa storia non andrà ad influire sulle serie regolari ma leggendo sembra proprio di no  . Ma l'esperienza Lazarus planet non è bastata? Interrompere tutto per due/tre mesi, ma hanno le pigne in testa?

Perché penso che li comprano in pochi. Così facendo, se leggi ad esempio Batman e ti capita tra le mani un numero senza sapere di absolute power sei costretto a comprarlo per capire la storia.
Ok che al giorno d'oggi sono poche le persone che non sanno cosa succede nella continuity, ma comunque una percentuale c'è. E poi ovviamente anche per noi che sappiamo e che per sapere cosa succede e le varie conseguenze che porterà siamo costretti a comprarlo.
