Man of Steel

We're all searching for enlightenment.
But what is light?
Different for everyone. But everyone looking.

See what we want to see.
No matter how small...or big we are.

Manca ancora troppo  :batman:

Man of Steel

The Batman Prequel Made Bruce's Training Similar to Nolan's Films - Yet Different
QuoteIn Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins, the Bat scoured the globe to become the ultimate fighter. Bruce, after all, wanted to transcend the ordinary man, transforming into a super-soldier naturally to fight crime in Gotham as the Dark Knight. It eventually led him to the League of Shadows in Tibet to perfect his craft. Interestingly, the prequel novel for Matt Reeves' The Batman makes the training for Robert Pattinson's Caped Crusader similar to Nolan's vision but different at the same time.

Christian Bale's Batman initially left Gotham to make the city believe Bruce died, becoming a criminal across the world. As a ghost, he ran with gangs, escaped the law and picked up various styles as a brawler. He learned from both the heroic and villainous sides of the coin, working toward striking a balance.
When Ra's al Ghul found him, Bruce adhered to the League's ninja way, incorporating everything to grow into a disciplined, versatile and focused soldier. It led to a fallout, though, as he didn't want to kill. Thus, he burned the camp down and returned home, ready for the war on crime with his armor, gadgets and vehicles. Now, in Before the Batman: An Original Movie Novel, Bruce goes from country to country in his teens after his parents' death. He studies various sciences to become a better detective and engineer, but only because he wants to distract himself -- not for justice. Bruce also learns the fighting styles of all these countries, integrating everything from aikido to judo to muy thai, as he's fascinated with MMA. He loves adrenaline rushes, so he puts his body to the test. In that sense, he is a roamer like Nolan's Batman but for a more selfish reason.

Another difference comes in Alfred's role, which hews more toward DC's Earth One comics from Geoff Johns and Gary Frank. There, Alfred was a former British military officer who trained Bruce to become an enforcer of the night. It wasn't just about building tools, but about tough love to get Bruce to be an apex predator. This Alfred follows a similar path, teaching Bruce his own fighting styles and melding everything together to create a new alpha style called "Brucejitsu" -- something the Wayne heir admittedly finds cheesy.

It was different from Michael Caine's Alfred, who offered moral support while Bruce did most of the heavy lifting. As for Bale-Bat's training in the cave, Alfred more or less abstained, as he was too old for physical stuff. Reeves' Alfred (played by Andy Serkis), though, is the right age to spar with Bruce. Last but not least, Nolan's Alfred always knew Bruce's training and vigilante ambitions, endorsing it once he had a say. But in Before the Batman, Reeves' Alfred is kept in the dark. Bruce keeps it a secret, only for Alfred to figure out he snuck out at night, leading to him reluctantly giving his blessing.

:mmm:
ALL OF EXISTENCE SHALL BE MINE!

Man of Steel

Yeah, sicuramente un crime-noir-mystery movie. :zuzu:

Cosmonauta

La Hathaway ci stava di brutto come Catwoman, peccato che per me fosse scritto un po' meh il personaggio all'interno del film. La Kravitz proprio non mi piace.

Sulle musiche beh, Zimmer è Zimmer, un po' come Elfman e John Williams.

AdrianVeidt

Man of Steel

Io preferisco Giacchino rispetto a quelli citati.
