È piacevole, però personalmente non la trovo al livello di Bendis e Hickman, qui Aaron non è al suo meglio (ma forse volutamente).
Però non la consiglierei se non piaccia la JL, l'impostazione da blockbuster non è tanto dissimile.

L'impostazione è simile a JL, ma secondo me Avengers è inferiore.
A me è piaciuto tantissimo il primo arco narrativo, poi mi sono "solo" divertito fino alla fine dell'arco con i vampiri.
A quel punto ho tagliato per motivi economici e Avengers era più sacrificabile di altre serie che seguo mensilmente.

Anche io ti direi di lasciar perdere, serie solamente leggibile. Da Aaron ci si aspettava ben altro.

Per come la vedo io, Aaron non ha niente da dire e si vede...
Salvo giusto il primo storyarc, solo là avrà messo il cuore e guarda caso, era anche legato con la sua gestione di Thor (più o meno).

La verità è che la Marvel voleva mettere un big sulla testata, giustamente eh, quindi hanno "costretto" Aaron a scrivere la testata, ma non funziona, tant'è che io mi aspetto già un cambio di team creativo, cioè dovesse capitare, è qualcosa che non mi stupirebbe affatto.

A parte giusto qualche plot-point/storyarc, dove si intravede la mano del writer (la fake ass JL, Coulson ecc) è chiaro che il writer stia girando a vuoto, ha persino cominciato a prendere OC di altri writer, detto tutto.
Io, appena ho visto quel Ghost Rider, ho tagliato.

Ok, direi che mi avete convinto, anche se il primo story arc mi era piaciuto, forse forse potrei prendere giusto i TP dei primi 2 story arc e fermarmi lì. Ma a sto punto credo che virerò su altro.

Avengers #29 (Published by Marvel Comics; Review by Pierce Lydon; 'Rama Rating: 7 out of 10)

The new Starbrand is revealed the issue but Jason Aaron and Ed McGuinness take their time getting to it. It's hard to complain too much though because Ed McGuinness turns in some A+ fight sequences and Aaron has some fun with this currently kind of remixed squad of Avengers. Brood Thor is terrifying. Boy-Thing-armored Blade is actually a pretty cool look for the Daywalker. (To say nothing of the power potential there.) Aaron and McGuinness definitely deliver some really enjoyable moments across the issue and Aaron's foreboding Silver Surfer is always a good turn for the character. But your mileage may vary on this issue if you aren't all-in on this Starbrand story that's been brewing. There's just not much else there.

It's a cosmic medical emergency in Avengers #30. After discovering the identity of the new Starbrand - the unborn child of a human refugee from Kansas - forces converge on the mother in labor, all with the aim of containing the Starbrand no matter the cost. Using a fun, highly effective shuffling of the timeline of the issue, Jason Aaron marries real-deal emotions with high concept cosmic drama. Focused around the fallout and real-time action of his Nativity in Space, Aaron jumbles his oddball cast of Avengers against the huge personalities of Marvel Cosmic books and weirdly, it all works. The muscular and cinematic artwork of Ed McGuinness and Francesco Manna certainly help, as the pair rumble across the stars with beefy splash pages and highly expressive character interactions. Though Jason Aaron's era of Avengers has had its ups and downs, Issue #30 finds it hitting a fine balance between emotions and fun.
