Che cosa potrebbe mai venute fuori avendo una giornalista come protagonista? Niente di che, anche se fosse Bendis a scriverla.

THE OTHER HISTORY OF THE DC UNIVERSE Prestige Format Title by JOHN RIDLEY Coming In Late 2018

12 Years A Slave writer John Ridley will write The Other History of the DC Universe, which, in DC's words, "will analyze iconic DC moments and chart sociopolitical gains through the perspectives of DC Super Heroes who come from traditionally disenfranchised groups."

The series will feature characters ranging from John Stewart, Vixen, Supergirl, and Katana, to lesser known characters such as Renee Montoya and Extraño of the Global Guardians.
"The Other History of the DC Universe isn't about saving the world, it's about having the strength to simply be who you are," reads DC's announcement.

"I could not be more excited by the opportunity to excavate the canon of the DC Universe through a vast array of characters who've earned their seat at the table," said Ridley in a statement.  "I'm very impressed with DC's commitment to making their history as reverent and urgent as it is engaging and entertaining for all its many fans."

Ridley's previous comic book work includes The Authority: Human on the Inside, The Razor's Edge: Warblade, and his creator-owned series The American Way, which tackles similar aspects of superhero history through the perspectives of people of color.

Ridley will appear at this weekend's DC In D.C. convention for a panel titled "The Many Shades of Heroism: DC Heroes Through the African-American Lens," in which he'll reveal more details of The Other History of the DC Universe. The panel takes place on Saturday, January 13 at 11AM eastern, and will be livestreamed on DC's YouTube channel.

No artist or release date for the series has been announced.

bisogna considerare che Superman è uscito dai New 52 con le ossa pressoché rotte e salvo qualche gestione (Morrison e Johns) si è paraticamente fatto di tutto per renderlo "alieno" al concept del personaggio

con Jurgens e Tomasi (e il Rebirth in generale) si è tornati sui binari giusti e quindi l'apprezzamento è giustificato; poi certo, non saranno serie rivoluzionarie, ma intrattengono bene e rendono perfettamente il mondo del kryptoniano

onestamente l'Azzurrone non ce lo vedo nelle corde di Bendis; discorso diverso se dovesse trattarsi di Luthor o perché no, anche Lois Lane

Questo the Other History, visto anche l'autore mi incuriosisce molto. Il formato prestige però non lo digerisco, quindi attenderò il 2019 (2020?) se mai vedrò nelle preview un TP o simili.

Oddio per un momento mi era venuto il dubbio...sta trollando o...è serio?
È serio!
Detto così sembra ma a pensarci bene...tra Batman e Mister Miracle, ha fatto esattamente questo e probabilmente non è nemmeno una coincidenza!
Una lotta contro il PTSD, sto concept ha un grandissimo potenziale, visto quello che ha fatto, ma specialmente visti i pg DC!
