U.S.Avengers #3 (Published by Marvel Comics; Review by David Pepose; 'Rama Rating: 8 out of 10):

Al Ewing continues to be one of Marvel's most talented and overlooked writers, taking a team of lesser-known heroes and making them, well, U.S.Avengers. Don't know who Pod or Iron Patriot are? No problem, as Ewing deftly introduces his characters and makes for some fun power set combinations (Cannonball and Squirrel Girl, anybody?) — and in particular, his kleptocratic bad guy, the Gold Skull, has some of the best lines in the book ("You know what I love about people? They make excellent pets."). Along with Ewing's fun use of continuity and characterization is Paco Medina and Carlo Barberi tag-teaming the art — Barberi is a bit more angular and less refined than Medina, who is beginning to remind me of classic Howard Porter's clean, lantern-jawed style, but the two play off each other nicely, with each character having their own unique body language and fighting style. Fancuore andava letto prima di SR, ma no problem, dato che non mi è sembrato così importante, nei prossimi mesi, praticamente ogni testata Marvel sarà un tie-in di SE e col cazz che leggerò tutto!
Bon, passiamo al main event!

Out of the major Secret Empire books that hit this week, U.S.Avengers seems to be the only one really having fun with it. Al Ewing didn't write this issue as a farce, but there are a few jokes throughout that managed to be ridiculous without undercutting Marvel's big event. It's a fine line to walk, but this book seems to get a little latitude when it comes to humor. Most of the issue deals with Hydra Cap's attempt to get inside Sunspot's head and gauge his defenses, but there's still space to check in with Cannonball across the universe and Squirrel Girl's rescue of the Red Hulk back on Earth. Paco Diaz's art isn't overly flashy, but it is very easy to enjoy his clean style and his strong sequential skills. This is a very good-looking book and it holds together quite well. The current status quo probably won't make it through Secret Empire, but it was fun while it lasted. -Blair

Altro numero piacevole da leggere, con sorprendente sorpresa nello scoprire che Squirrel Girl ha una forza mostruosa, pensavo che

Spiacente, ma non sei autorizzato a visualizzare il contenuto degli spoiler.

fosse morto nel numero scorso, ma a quanto pare lo tengono in vita, grande entrata in scena di Ares (creduto morto), ma gli altri li ritengo abbastanza inutili.

Numero incentrato su Toni.
Bellissimo anche questo, disegnato in modo fantastico, in questo numero  si scopre che l'uomo che ha aiutato Tony Stark a costruire la prima armatura ed a fuggire dalla sua prigionia non è altri che il padre Toni (l'attuale Iron Patriot).
Grazie alla sua abilità "alla McGyver", riesce a "riattivare" DaCosta, mentre gli "Euro-U.S.Avengers" (così battezzati da Squirrel Girl), fanno irruzione nel magazzino dell'Hydra a Parigi, dove facciamo la conoscenza di nuovi eroi, alcuni interessanti altri meno.
