Un altro writer che vuole un pezzo di Bats, un'altra decostruzione!
In altri casi sarebbe abbastanza rischioso sfornare roba del genere così in fretta, i lettori fanno fatica a digerire tutto, specialmente quelli "casual", a volte vogliono solo leggere la classica versione del pg!
Fortuna che si parla di Batman, e abbiamo tutti l'imbarazzo della scelta, c'è un sacco di materiale e di fatto, si può trovare il classico Bats anche se...lo stanno rendendo molto difficile... Cioè se penso a White Knight...Creature of the Night...
Però in Trinity? Detective Comics? Anche se non è il protagonista in queste testate, but still...

Parlando del numero, è stata una bella partenza, è chiaro cosa intende fare Priest, io ormai mi fido di lui, e sicuramente ha un'idea precisa su quello che vuole raccontare...per un beeel po' di numeri, poi potrei sbagliarmi.

Siccome in quasi 80 anni di Bat-storie hanno raccontato praticamente ogni storia immaginabile, questo concept è...familiare  a tutti noi.
Diamine, Tower of Babel è una delle mie storie preferite del pg.
Questo primo numero non lavora sulla paranoia di Bats, ma sul suo lato umano. Batman non è infallibile.
The thing is...I pg DC...la League in particolare...Insomma, vengono sempre visti come dei "Gods", ma a differenza di tutti gli altri, Bats è umano al 100% e il fatto che lui sia il "leader strategico" del gruppo... beh, la dice lunga!
Poi anche per come è fatto, sente il bisogno di dimostrare e provare a se stesso certe cose, fosse solo per superare i propri limiti e, come tutte le persone, non vuole fallire...Detesta fallire!
Però è diverso, perchè quando falliscono i supereroi...sono azzi amari per tutti e Priest lavorerà su queste conseguenze e ok.
Però la continuity a volte diventa un problema (specialmente per un nerdone! ) e King deve ancora riprendere per bene un certo panel di The Button!
Per ragioni diverse, tutte queste storie convergono su una sola cosa: No More Batman.
Sarebbe bellissimo poter raccontare ogni singola cosa sulla testata di Batman, su quella di JL e legare tutto per avere qualcosa che abbia un senso e che sia in continuity con le varie testate.
Che dire, I'm IN!!

Parte con WW nei casini per colpa degli eventi del numero precedente, e per la cronaca, non la penso come lei, secondo me aveva torto.
Poi alla fine, grazie a Bats, si è ripresa la sua

Un altro numero molto solido!
Priest sta cercando di iniettare un po' di realismo in questa testata, infatti i problemi ecc... insomma è tutto molto terra-terra e dopo la gestione over the top di Hitch, un blockbusterone dopo l'altro, ci voleva proprio!

Non ci avrei puntato un soldo, ma...Priest ha iniziato proprio con il botto. Mi sembra di rileggere la JLA di Kelly.

Peccato per Woods che mi piace poco, però il resto è davvero interessante.
Da quant'è che non si vedeva un sottotesto politico su JL? Bravo Priest, bravo.

Straquoto, #36 davvero bello, i primi due della nuova gestione non mi erano sembrati granché ma qui c'è tanta roba che bolle in pentola.

Visti i commenti positivi ho recuperato i numeri #34-35-36.

Serie davvero godibile. Sottotesto politico e conseguenze molto "reali" per le azioni della League sono molto vicini a quanto vorrei leggere su una testata del genere.

Però ancora non ci siamo completamente. L'autore è bravo, però ho comunque l'impressione di leggere una serie di secondo piano.
Con quelle tematiche e con quel contesto io mi aspetto una serie che sia "capolavoro".

Molto bello, questo concept di Priest mi è molto familiare, tra l'altro lo aveva appena usato anche King a modo suo su Bats, ovvero il classico "Fan" che diventa un villain.
