Tom Taylor writes his comic books with such infectious passion that it's hard not to like what he writes. As truths start to get revealed about this miniseries, Taylor's passion comes through in the characters' quick, dramatic language. This is an issue that features significantly more dialogue than punches, but Taylor's writing turns conversation and revelation into thrilling action. The art matches the scripts dramatic intensity with detailed facial expressions and intimidating character figure work. It's of course disappointing that Ethan Van Sciver couldn't finish this series, but as gifted a talent as Van Sciver is, Ardian Syaf drawing over Aaron Kuder's layouts is an impressive sight to see. This issue is still strong, despite losing one of DC's best creators. –Levi

The final issue of Edge of Oblivion packs in all the scope and drama one would expect from a story about a group of stranded Green Lanterns fighting against overwhelming odds while the universe dies around them. It doesn't matter that DC is in the process of relaunching the franchise, or that we know at least some of these characters will emerge from the battle unscathed. Writer Tom Taylor sells the tragedy and heroism of this battle. The narration lends context to the many heroic sacrifices and the lives lost. The art (with breakdowns from Scott McDaniel and finishes from Jack Herbert) expertly depicts a massive battle for the fate of this dying universe. Yes, Ethan Van Sciver's absence is still felt, but this finale issue delivers the strongest and most consistent art since his departure. This issue serves as a great cap to a fantastic but entirely too brief Lantern comic. There's much the incoming creative team can learn from what Taylor and his collaborators were able to accomplish in these six issues. -Jesse

Letta questa mini di 6 numeri!

Dopo aver letto Lost Army e siccome mi piace Taylor come writer, mi aspettavo tutt'altro genere di storia, invece rimane un capitolo troppo simile alla mini di Bunn, però Taylor non riprende pg come Krona e Relic, cioè a fine Lost Army stavano tramando qualcosa, quello era un cliffhangherone eh!
Nella seconda metà la storia si riprende molto, una volta messa da parte le aspettative, ho apprezzato molto di più questa mini, tanto hype per il futuro del GLC, chissà che fine hanno fatto!
