Team Robin hasn't exactly been on a roll of late, with the ever growing threat that is Mother continually kicking their collective R-emblazoned rumps. Following last issue's flashback heavy focus, scripter Genevieve Valentine allows the team a chance to regroup, reassess, and refocus. It's a move that leads to some emotional, if forced, exchanges, Valentine using the aside to explore the team's shared legacy and the overall weight of the cowl. Exploring the various personalities of each Robin has been part of the fun so far in this Eternal run, yet the look we get here does feel shoehorned to fit the eventual turnaround. Despite falling out of character at times, the rallying cry does coincide well with the book's closing escalation, putting both sides on a welcome collision course as we enter the series' next stage. Visually, Fernando Blanco turns in some solid pages, his strong character work keeping the issue's talk-heavy nature engaging. His heavy use of shadow works well with the more heightened color palette provided by John Rauch, the two combining to create an appropriately charged atmosphere. -Jeff

:asd:

If Batman and Robin Eternal was a roller coaster, issue #24 would represent the slow lurch at the top of the tracks just before it falls over the other side. It's a decent installment, writer Steve Orlando noticeably furthering the ongoing Harper/Mother dynamic, but aside from a few choice sequences the issue is largely filler on the way to something bigger. That said, Orlando makes the most of what he has to work with, adding new players to the field even as old ones join the fray. Having the various Bat brats so spread out impedes the pacing at times, but Orlando's quick hits and character specific beats land more often than not. Visually, Alvaro Martinez turns in some solid action spreads, the many globe hopping battles appropriately distinct. The issue's highlight is undoubtedly its ending sequence, Martinez trading physical blows for a more layered and sinister focus. As a standalone issue #24 isn't the most essential of installments, but as a stepping stone to bigger things it does its job. -Jeff

:sisi:

Faccio fuori a Dick :ahsisi:

With its finale looming, the Batman and Robin Eternal team continues to steer its wide cast towards the series' eventual endgame. Despite the wide net the series encompasses, the actual impact of the series remains limited to a few choice characters. As such, issue #25 at times feels like filler in the same way issue #24 did. The difference here is that the filler mostly works, with Steve Orlando utilizing the vast supporting cast in a way that both highlights the varied members while also reinforcing the book's core drama. Some instances still feel drawn out, but enough seeds have been successfully planted to make for what looks to be a pretty satisfying conclusion. The art here is also solid, the differing styles of Javi Pina and Goran Sudzka noticeable but not distracting. A choice scene featuring the ever entertaining Midnighter leads to one of the series' most laugh out loud moments, proving that even 25 weeks in, this series can still surprise. -Jeff
