Well, it had to happen eventually. An issue of Sheriff of Babylon was something less than amazing. The problem with this issue is that it spends so much time recapping, flashbacking, or setting up (what sounds like it will be an insanely great issue) instead of putting the focus directly on the present. There's a real sense of relief when Tom King and Mitch Gerads finally live up their usual greatness and deliver another impactful, human moment in the book's closing pages. This is by no means a bad issue, it's just that when you're delivering one of the most consistently great comic books, an issue that's merely good seems like a disappointment. –Levi

Jon Davis-Hunt is a star. Such has been the case from the beginning, but issue #10 is a prime example of the kind of versatility the artist brings to the read. One spread features a terrifying glimpse into a sadist's torture den, the next offers a hilarious panel-by-panel breakdown of the effect ice has on high heels. It's that wide range of carefully calculated emotion that continues to make Clean Room such a compelling read, particularly so now that Gail Simone has the book moving in a more focused direction. There's some captivating stuff to this installment, both on a visual and philosophical level, and the creative team continues to add compelling layers to its growing cast. It also comes complete with yet another dose of chilling nightmare fuel (PONIES, WHY?) making for another mesmerizing, messed up chapter. -Jeff
