Often, the most satisfying part of a mystery is simply feeling mystified. It's the reveal that usually brings you down off of your high. That may be the case for some people with this "all our cards on the table" revelation issue, but I doubt it will be for most people. Martian Manhunter #10 is a brilliant series of revelation after revelation, twist after further twist. This issue is the distillation of everything that has made this series so enjoyable over the last year into a single issue. Better yet, it's all earned and it's all satisfying. Rob Williams clearly put a lot of thought into this Martian Manhunter retcon/reboot, and it's paying off wonderfully. This is also Eddy Barrows's best issue yet - upping the emotional resonance, splash page dynamism, and ruthless action. The only question now is whether or not these creators have one full card in their final issues. –Levi

No Martian Manhunter series in the new DC Rebirth publishing line is one thing, but pulling the book's artist away from the penultimate issue? Come on DC! Martian Manhunter has been an incredibly exciting, funny, and emotional series. It's one of the best things to come out of DC You. That's all why it's such a shame that Eddy Barrows left the series with only two issues left to go. Martian Manhunter #11 is another dramatic high note in this series, but Ben Oliver just isn't able to convey the emotional depth that Barrows brought to this wonderful series. This is yet another powerful and affecting script from Rob Williams, that is paying off much of the last ten issues, but it just doesn't land as drawn. Oliver is by no means a bad artist, just not the right choice for this series at this pivotal moment. –Levi
