The spy life suits Dick Grayson, perhaps a little too well. After decking his partner and absconding with a precious necklace, Dick has gone off the radar in hopes of finding out just who is killing Spyral field agents and pinning the murders on him. Writer Tim Seeley keeps the tension dialed up and the characters rudderless as no one knows who to trust and what their motives are; a true hallmark of the spy genre. Artist Mikel Janin has vastly improved since the earlier issues, rendering much of the action with smooth unhurried pencils and drop dead gorgeous character design. Even Lex Luthor cuts the profile of a leading man as he shakes down Dick for his elusive prize. Grayson is a title that no one expected to be this good, but yet, 10 issues in, it stands as one of DC's most surprising and consistent hits.

Questa serie è vermaente scritta (e disegnata) bene!
Come si vede dalla cover abbiamo un Grayson vs. Grayson e Tim riesce a creare dei bei momenti per non parlare di quella conlcusione!

Comunque questa serie, insieme a JLA di hitch (e a JL 3001  ) per me è il meglio dell'attuale produzione DC, ormai credo di averlo detto alla nausea, vi prego sopportatemi

Nhaaa inutile martellare con l'identità di Agent 0, quando il lettore sa già chi è, non ha senso, specialmente in una serie come Grayson che è piena di misteri, twists & turns

At one point in Grayson #11, Dick is put in a position where he's allowed to comment on the endless praise his well touted derriere receives. It's a throwaway line, but it's one that serves to emphasize not only how well Tom King and Tim Seeley know the character, but also how well they know their audience. Issue #11 brings many of the book's hypno-swirling threads to a head, laying out an impressively timed reveal even as the series takes an intriguing new direction. Writer King shows a great mind for pacing here, the book's tone subtly shifting from light hearted romp to mind bending thriller in a way that leaves you just as disoriented as the book's eponymous lead. Artist Mikel Janin further sells this trippy sequence, his tight pencils swirling in great circular effect to highlight the changing status quo. He does a great job balancing Dick's fluctuating emotions with some excellent physical nuance and dynamic paneling, the issue's final pages raising a number of tantalizing questions. -Jeff

Tim Seeley and Tom King have waxed existential lately in Grayson, and it's an interesting fit — what else would you do with a character who has shifted from identity to identity, but always remained the same underneath each new persona? With a killer assuming Dick's identity, Tom King shows he's one of DC's smartest writers, with a real vibrance and humor to Dick's dialogue as he guesses who his doppelganger might be. ("Wait! I think I have it," Dick says at one point, kicking his counterpart in the head. "You're secretly Wonder Woman.") Mikel Janin also does a great job at differentiating the two Graysons, and does a remarkable job at keeping the fight energetic and exciting, particularly when he begins woozily changing up his panel layouts. The only downside to this book is the ending is extremely abrupt and difficult to follow, which may burn new readers. Hopefully King and company have something up their sleeves to smooth out this rough landing.
