On a purely surface level, there's not much wrong with the new Ragman relaunch. Inaki Miranda's artwork is sharp and easy to follow, even though I don't like the new design for Ragman's costume. It's kind of going the in the wrong direction of comic book design and it doesn't have the visual elements that made the character so distinctive in previous appearances. For this reboot miniseries, Ray Fawkes envisions Rory Regan as a soldier literally haunted by his past once he comes home from the war. Owning the Ragman suit doesn't make his life any easier, and it may actually be making him crazier. As a new setup for Ragman, this could eventually work. But the opening chapter doesn't do enough to make me want to follow the rest of Rory's new life in the DC universe. -Blair
