U.S.Avengers continues to be fun, if hampered down by the slog that is Secret Empire. For a series that had its first villain be Gold Skull, the Empire issues have been almost humorless. Thankfully that seems like it'll change soon, but I'm getting ahead of myself. This is a decent issue in an arc that strives for nothing more than decency. All of the characters are great, art is solid, but god, can Secret Empire be over already? Honestly, I don't have much to say about this book because it doesn't seem to have much to say. Things happen, people fight, but it all feels flat as it's in service of a pretty uninteresting comic event. If you're looking for fun action adventure as a team fights against Hydra, this is a solid book, but it's not much more than that. The biggest note is Toni deciding the way she's been going about being a hero is wrong, so it's exciting to see where she'll go from here, and Red Hulk with a mustache is nice but, uh. Sigh. Just, just call me when Secret Empire is over, okay? -Tara
