It's sad to see Marvel ending one of the only Star Wars comics not set during the Original Trilogy era. That said, Kanan never really lived up to its potential, much less the high standard set by books like Star Wars and Darth Vader. This issue at least makes for a decent finish, even if the material set in the present-day Rebels timeline was never the book's strong suit in the first place. Writer Greg Weisman is able to wrap up loose ends and offer the final word on Kanan's past and his connection to characters like Morfizo and Janus Kasmir. There's a definite heartfelt quality to his issue as Weisman bids the characters farewell. The real treat is a surprise appearance from a character that helps the series tie back to the Rebel Dawn novel. Unfortunately, regular artist Pepe Larraz's absence is felt in this final chapter. The flat characters and cluttered panels don't do much to capture the cinematic qualities of the Star Wars movies or the distinctive style of the cartoon. -Jesse
