This is the problem with having to split your event across four different titles. Sometimes, there just isn't anything left to tell in one of the crossover's books. That is so unfortunately, and painfully the case with this issue. Almost half of this issue is filled with double-page action spreads, spreads that don't actually do anything to move the story along but seemingly instead to eat up the page count. Worse, those spreads don't even satisfy on a visceral art level because Cliff Richards' strength doesn't lie in action. His figures, while beautiful on a cover, are stiff and rigid in motion. Peter Tomasi tries to add something to this book - a quick moment with Frankenstein, some dialogue here or there, the Savage children - but none of it feels like anything more than briefly sweeping loose plot threads under the rug in time for Gene Luen Yang's finale. –Levi

Mi sta piacendo tantissimo questo Super League The Final Days of Superman! :dsi:

Often, in our modern comic books, we complain that there's too much talking and not enough action. What happened to superheroes fighting supervillains? Well, with seemingly only four issues left to go in Superman's life - can't we forget about the fighting for just a minute and focus on Superman's predicament? This story starts off with a bold turn in the Superman/Wonder Woman New 52 relationship that's super interesting and worth exploring. But then, the pair get distracted by the impostor Superman and another recent villain, and any sense of momentum or drama is fizzled out with their weird fight. Ed Benes does a fine job with both the action and drama, though his faces can be a bit inconsistent and occasionally rushed looking. Superman/Wonder Woman is a perfect microcosm of this event - wonderful character drama wrapped around unnecessary distractions. –Levi

Superman/Wonder Woman #28 (Published by DC Comics; Review by David Pepose; 'Rama Rating: 3 out of 10):

There's a good concept at the heart of Superman/Wonder Woman #28, but this "Final Days of Superman" tie-in stumbles in the execution, particularly in the artwork. There's been a tendency in this series to make the Superman/Wonder Woman relationship a little one-sided, with Diana coming across as a bit of a stereotype — and with her asking Clark "am I the last to know?" and "do you love me?" makes her come across as a little needy and submissive. But the other problem is that Peter Tomasi has to go over the same conversation again, that yes, Superman is dying, and there's nothing we can do to fix it. Meanwhile, artist Ed Benes definitely misses the mark here — not only is there no drama to his Michael Turner-esque style, but an obligatory action sequence cutting between Superman versus Ulysses and Wonder Woman versus the New Superman being completely confusing.

:lolle:
