DC Comics rilancerà la sua linea editoriale a Giugno e il messaggio è chiaro: maggiore attenzione alla diversità, che si rifletta su autori, personaggi e stili di narrazione.
La nuova linea editoriale sarà composta da 25 serie già esistenti, a cui se ne aggiungeranno 24 totalmente nuove, per un totale di 49 serie – il che pone fine all’esistenza del brand “New 52”, rilancio attuato dalla DC Comics nel 2011. La continuity, tuttavia, non subirà alcun tipo di variazione.
“Questo annuncia una nuova era per l’universo DC che ci permette di pubblicare qualcosa per tutti, ci permette di espandere e di essere più moderni nel nostro modo di approcciarci nella narrazione di una storia, riflettendo la società che ci circonda” afferma Dan DiDio, Co-Publisher di DC Entertainment in una conferenza stampa. “Anche se sei un fan DC da tutta la vita o se sei entrato da poco a far parte del mondo dei fumetti – a Giugno ce ne sarà uno ad attenderti”.
La conferenza stampa è stata anche utile per capire quale fumetto la DC Comics offrirà gratuitamente nel famoso evento “Free Comic Book Day“, ovvero “DC Comics: Divergence”.
DC Comics: Divergence sarà negli scaffali americani dal 2 maggio e sarà, appunto, gratuito. Comprenderà tre preview da otto pagine di tre testate in uscita a Giugno: Batman di Scott Snyder e Greg Capullo, Justice League di Geoff Johns e Jason Fabok che darà il via alla tanto attesa “Darkseid War”, Superman di Gene Luen Yan e John Romita, JR..
