Harry Osborn has hardly been a presence in Spider-Gwen to this point, with his first big character moments coming just last issue. But despite that, Jason Latour and Robbi Rodriguez manage to endow this battle between Harry and Gwen with a level of gravitas that makes it feel like the culmination of years of storytelling. That's an incredibly difficult feat to pull off, and an impressive one to see unfold in the pages before you. Latour lightly sprinkles years of backstory throughout the entire fight that adds a real impact to every one of Rodriguez's stylized punches. It's almost concerning to see the pair burn through so much plot and development so quickly, but when it's this well done how can you complain? –Levi

È diventata fin da subito un'icona, un'eroina amata dal fandom ragnesco e ora diventa realtà. La casa produttrice Kotobukiya ha infatti annunciato l'uscita dell'action figure di Spider-Gwen, da pochi mesi protagonista di una serie regolare: si tratta di una statuetta in scala 1:7, alta 22 cm con parti intercambiabili. Spider-Gwen has faced vultures, lizards, and the Kingpin of Crime; but in Spider-Gwen #5 she faces her biggest challenge yet - a fill-in artist!?!?! As much credit as Jason Latour deserves for the success of this series, Robbi Rodriguez IS Spider-Gwen. This series exists because of one Rodriguez design. An issue without that artist has a lot to prove - and the team mostly succeeds with this Rodriguez-less installment. Chris Visions is in the same exaggerated style league as Rodriguez, placing more import on style and tone than anatomical correctness. His camera tends to be closer to the action than Rodriguez's - which is perfect for this emotional, talk-heavy issue. Finally, there's Rico Renzi's color which makes this issue feel a part of the Spider-Gwen whole. The day Rodriguez leaves this book for good will probably be the day that this series should be retired, but it's good to know another artist can make their impact felt in-between Rodriguez issues.–Levi
