In this issue, Greg Pak stretches the title of the book to team Superman with Batgirl, rather than Batman, and it makes for a pleasant experiment. The dynamic between these characters is refreshing and new, something that we need to see more of in the future. What isn't such a pleasant twist is the reveal of yet another puppet master in Superman's life. The reveal feels out of place when teamed with the underground barbarians, and is eye-rolling to anyone reading all of the other Superman books that all also feature different shadowy puppet masters. None of the Superman titles have done much to differentiate themselves in meaningful ways, other than artistically, and Cliff Richards's style is too cold and clinical to make this title noteworthy. –Levi

Ormai questa è diventa una Supes-ongoing, in un certo senso lo è sempre stata, ma ora che è strettamente legata a questo evento...
Numero che c'ha messo un bel po' ad ingranare, pare quasi un filler anche se ben costruito, diciamo che ormai non manca molto per...bho al "showdown"

Too often, superhero comic books are reactive - a bad guy causes trouble, then the good guy flies in to punch things. This issue of Batman/Superman focuses entirely on the build up to a fight with Vandal Savage, as the heroes methodically plan every move. That may not sound interesting, but it is due to the quality of dialogue and smattering of character moments throughout. The downside of the issue comes on the art side. Cliff Richards handles the bulk of the issue and his art doesn't mesh at all with the tone set at the beginning of the book. His character faces also have a rubbery, inorganic feel to them that detracts from the script's character focus. This is a nice change of pace issue with some art problems that hold it back.–Levi

Bellissimo questo numero!
Ahimè l'ultimo numero scitto da Pak, è stato un grande, ha fatto un ottima analisi di Batman e Superman (anche per il loro nuovo status quo).

Batman/Superman #27 is the last issue of Greg Pak's run on the title, and though the main story fails to leave much of an impression, the flashbacks between the two title characters remind us of how good Pak has been at those small moments. This issue is called "Trust" and it's all about Jim Gordon learning to trust Superman, just like Bruce Wayne did before him. The mistrust between the two revamped heroes has always felt silly and manufactured, but it's at least used well by Pak to underline the importance of a Batman/Superman partnership. Ultimately, the story winds up as a bit of a jumbled and rushed mess paired with some muddy action art, but there's just enough there to remind you of what a strong voice Pak gave to this duo. –Levi
