All-New Ghost Rider is another All-New Marvel NOW title reaching a premature end. To his credit, writer/co-artist Felipe Smith doesn't try to close the book on Robbie Reyes or wrap up every single loose end in these 20 pages. This issue reads more like the end of an arc than a series finale. Smith does focus on wrapping up the latest conflict between Robbie and his ghostly partner, as Eli targets young Gabe as his next potential host. I feared this issue would be too dark an ending for the series and its heavy emphasis on the loving bond between the Reyes brothers. Luckily, Smith finds a balance between delivering a dramatic finish and giving his characters some semblance of a happy ending. His pencils continue to crackle with energy without veering quite so far into the stylized territory of Tradd Moore. Unfortunately, Kris Anka is called upon to fill in on certain pages, but his own clean, elegant style fits in well enough. -Jesse
