Avengers #32 (Published by Marvel Comics; Review by Justin Partridge; 'Rama Rating: 7 out of 10):

The World's Mightiest Villains unite in the table-setting Avengers #32. Having introduced a whole volley of new and old threats to the team, writer Jason Aaron now starts to the task of gathering them all for the inevitable team-up arc. Checking in with Namor, Phil Coulson and the Squadron Supreme, the Winter Guard, Dracula, and Mephisto cuts the momentum of the title down a bit, but Aaron's control of language and portentous tone keeps it all from feeling as boring as it might in a lesser writer's hands. Artist Ed McGuinness keeps it all looking rather cinematic as well, bounding from lush one-page splashes to tight, expressive character interactions with ease. The "Age of Khonshu" might be next on the docket, but Avengers #32 sets up some very interesting and potentially destructive things on the horizon for Marvel's A-list.

Ho sempre tenuto d'occhio questa testata, appunto per via di questa faccenda della Phoenix Force su cui Aaron ci sta lavorando da un bel po', perchè non è tanto per Jean (che ok, è una sua host famosa) ma è proprio il concetto di Phoenix Force che mi interessa, essendo strettamente legato al mondo/lore mutante, quindi per un nerdone come me che segue la continuity diventa importante.

Ho sfogliato il #36 e #37 e non mi è piaciuto molto come Aaron ha usato la Phoenix Force, ma vabbe...lo storyarc vero e proprio dovrebbe partire col prossimo numero, quindi vedremo...

Imho, prima o poi faranno un altro AvX, mi sembra inevitabile, solo che questa volta potrebbe proprio essere un MUvX, ma 'sto covid di merda sta posticipando tutto...

Numero chiaramente dedicato agli X-Fags, e boh...mixed feelings...

Sotto un certo punto di vista, mi ha fatto schifo, però ci sono anche cose che hanno un po' cliccato con me.
La finezza di Aaron fa pena comunque.
Altro che Avengers 1 million BC, qua si parla di X-Men 1 million BC!!!
