In many ways, Morbius is the iconic Marvel superhero. A monster that means well, but his nature won't let him catch a break. In that respect, it makes sense what writer Joe Keatinge is going for with this title, it simply isn't clicking for me. This new street version of Dr. Michael Morbius doesn't feel true to the character, but I'm willing to agree he simply isn't true to me. That said, the art by Richard Elson has vastly improved from the rather flat lines from the first couple of issues. Each character has a bit more depth than before, helped by improved colors by Antonio Fabela. I get the vibe that this team wants to make a modern Morbius by way of John Carpenter movies, but it just isn't there yet.
