Marauders #5 focuses on many team members, but their stories are so separate that this doesn't exactly feel like a team book. The only dynamic that really stands out is a small but poignant scene of Kitty opening up to Emma about her fears of not being able to go to Krakoa – of feeling like an outcast to her own people. We also get a glimmer of Kitty's thought process about working with the Hellfire Club, as she ruminates on what would have happened if she had joined Emma's school instead of Professor X – a choice she made when she was way too young to know what she actually wanted. Maybe this is her rebellious teen phase she never had the chance to have? On art, Matteo Lolli's biggest strength is his creative action sequences, especially the issue's epic boat battle as Kitty uses her powers to phase through their enemy's ship. These scenes are sharp, but the character beats seem out of focus, with some panels looking blurry. Overall, Marauders #5 spreads itself a bit too thin as it tries to balance action with politics, but finds strength in the small moments it gives between the series' leads.

Altro numero leggero e molto divertente che presenta personaggi freschi disposti a prendersi poco sul serio.
Mi piace moltissimo questo taglio narrativo easy going, probabilmente perché c'è spazio a sufficienza al momento nel panorama mutante.
Questa Emma è il mio sex symbol, mamma mia. Ne voglio ancora

Marauders goes full-on pirate with an action-packed issue as the team goes up against Hate-Monger and X-Cutioner. This not only allows writer Gerry Duggan to showcase some more teamwork, but it also gives artist Matteo Lolli the chance to fully explore the team's power set. I especially enjoyed seeing more of Kitty's phasing abilities used in battle. All this being said, I do wish this issue was able to find a better balance for its plot. The story doesn't truly pick up until the final pages where Kitty goes up against Sebastian Shaw, featuring some great reveals about Kitty's connection to Krakoa that plays with the political tension that Duggan has been building since his first issue, all while leaving fans on a killer cliffhanger. Marauders #6 gives more panel time to the team, but could have benefited if it focused more on the series' central conflict.

Volendo potrebbero non esserci conseguenze per quello che ha fatto Shaw, you know, visto il legame di Kitty con Krakoa.

Non ci avevo mai pensato sinceramente, del resto se non mi sbaglio non hanno nemmeno mai spiegato perché Kitty non può usare i portali.

Numero che mi ha detto poco, unica novità la presenza di Callisto che non si capisce ancora a che gioco sta giocando.
Sempre fighissima Emma che è la vera guest star della serie.

Davvero un bel numero, eee non vorrei che fosse perchè Kitt-pardon, Kate non si è vista nemmeno.

Questo perchè? Beh ce lo avevano già detto, ma ovviamente non ci credo molto.

La cosa più interessante per me son state 2 cose:
1) Il modo in cui hanno sfoggiato i poteri di Bobby, total badass.

Daaamn, questo è il Duggan che piace a me! Probabilmente il mio numero preferito finora.
Il writer ha usato alla grande tutti i pg e specialmente i loro poteri, ma vedi anche le strategie usate da loro, che siano eroi o villains, tipo usare un pg come Yellowjacket.
Curioso di sapere di più riguardo quello che stava facendo Xavier tho.
