Bel numero con poche ma belle sequenze ambientate nel passato; questa volta Namor ha usato la sua arma segreta contro la popolazione e adesso sia Cap che Tony avranno una bella gatta da pelare. Bella idea, comunque, mi chiedo se si sia già vista una cosa simile altrove.

In questo numero ci sono alcuni momenti di fiacca ma la trama viene portata avanti piuttosto bene. Il litigio tra Cap e Iron Man mi è sembrato un po' tirato per i capelli, mentre adesso che Namor ha tirato fuori il suo asso nella manica ne vedremo delle belle.

TROPPE retcons che lo rendono un bastardo.
Ma fargli dire "Homo Superior" anche no dai Chip, quello è qualcosa che appartiene a Magneto.
Ok avere un giovane Xavier bello arrogante che sa camminare, ma stop.

sì, in effetti quella parte ha fatto storcere il naso anche a me; non so se all'epoca avesse già conosciuto o meno Erik, si suppone di sì visto che il termine lo coniò proprio Magneto, però è proprio un termine secondo me non molto affine a Chuck, perlomeno non per quel periodo
A parte questa buona serie, che spiega questo cambio di rotta per Namor.

The voice in Namor's head grows stronger and deadlier in Invaders #9. Armed with the Serpent Crown and the psychic pushing of his fallen wartime friend, Namor is growing increasingly unstable, even by his own admittance. Which therein lies the real tragedy and action of Invaders as Chip Zdarsky continues to push all of the Invaders to a breaking point dealing with Namor's crusade. Artists Carlos Mango and Butch Guice lean into that chaos, stocking this issue with action across both timelines, featuring a brutal, densely packed assault against Roxxon from Mango in the present a hellish territory push by the Invaders along with Spitfire in the past. Armed with burly action and deep emotions Invaders #9 continues to keep the old war heroes in the thick of it.

Continuano le vicende di Namor in questa serie a cui non avrei dato un soldo bucato e che invece nonostante qualche debolezza continua a divertirmi, pur nella sua classicità.
Purtroppo la parte peggiore sono i disegni di Magno, davvero tirati via.

In questo bel numero pieno di azione Roxxon entra in gioco con un colpo di mano e vediamo Cap e Namor costretti a una sorta di... collaborazione?
So che per ora la serie non sembra legata ai mutanti, ma che succederebbe se Krakoa venisse introdotta nelle vicende?
Comunque, altri due numeri prima di chiudere la serie.

Un Namor scatenato la cui complessa psicologia da sola regge senza problemi tutto il peso di questo numero altrimenti molto povero di azione, eppure ricco di sostanza. Steve nelle vesti della controparte più ragionevole finisce per essere quasi seccante.
Ad essere onesta mi piacerebbe vedere Namor nelle serie mutanti, chissà, magari scritto sempre da Chip.
E presto l'ultimo numero!

Si conclude un po' rapidamente la maxi in 12 numeri che ha messo tanta carne al fuoco ma che non è riuscita a trattare tutte le tematiche affrontate nel corso della storia.
Tutto sommato una buona lettura, senz'altro adatta agli amanti dei personaggi coinvolti, e che lascia ben sperare per una nuova serie futura magari sempre con lo stesso scrittore.
