Amazing Spider-Man #2 (Published by Marvel Comics; Review by Pierce Lydon; 'Rama Rating: 9 out of 10):

Writer Dan Slott really steps up his game here, turning in the best issue of Amazing Spider-Man in about six months. This book is firing on all cylinders. Artist Humberto Ramos turns down some of his tendencies to over-exaggerate his figures, and he's able to refocus his usual kinetic energy into the pathos of this book. Slott does excellent character work between Peter Parker and Anna Maria Marconi, as Peter begins to really understand more about one of his greatest enemies. A tense moment between Peter and Captain America also sets up some exciting possibilities for Venom's eventual return to Earth, and while Electro may only be included here because of his obvious ties to the webslinger's current movie offering, it's clear that we're getting a new and exciting take on Max Dillon.

Finalmente ho letto sto benedetto #1. Tutto sommato non è male, c'è da dire che non succede poi molto ma credo sia giusto cosi Parlo da grande fan di Superior e da hater del Peter Parker scritto da Slott, in questo rilancio principalmente vediamo

Insomma io resto dell' idea che Superior abbia portato tantissimi spunti narrativi, ora vediamo Slott come proseguirà le avventure del pavido Parker

Anche se è chiaro che è stato messo per l' uscita del film ma vabbè ci sta. Peter continua a sistemare la sua vita o almeno ci prova e mi sta piacendo moltissimo il rapporto che si sta creando con Anna Maria

Amazing Spider-Man #1.2 (Published by Marvel Comics; Review by Pierce Lydon; 'Rama Rating: 7 out of 10):

"Learning to Crawl" is an interesting case. Considering the sliding timeline of Marvel's heroes with regards to their continuity, it makes sense that we would eventually see a teenage Peter Parker in the Internet age, but the retroactive inclusion of "Clash" is a little bit heavy-handed. Pete and Clash so similar at this stage because they're both kind of whiny, genius teenagers. I guess Dan Slott will show us how their paths diverge and lead Peter to become the Spider-Man we know and love, but this tale feels extraneous and it's not particularly entertaining to watch Peter pout and moan. But Ramon Perez's artwork is still a joy to behold, a expressive amalgamation of '60s Ditko and more current work by Marcos Martin and Paolo Rivera. This might be the best Marvel work he's ever done, and that alone is worth the cover price.
