This issue banks on the idea that the only thing better than one Deadpool is a whole train full of Deadpools. And for the most part, it's correct. There's a lot of fun to be had in seeing Wade Wilson clash with a bunch of zombies who have essentially evolved into carbon copies of himself. Alongside the comedy, writer Cullen Bunn is able to build a deeper connection between Wade and his new partner as they search for her kidnapped family. The only drawback to the Deadpool overload is the fact that the fight scenes become a bit confusing. At times it's tough to tell if a panel is featuring the real Wade or one of his offspring. More should have been done to distinguish their costumes. That note aside, Nik Virella brings a clean yet horror-tinged aesthetic to the book that suits the tone of the story well. -Jesse

Deadpool always works best when you mix a little bit of tragedy in with his nonstop barrage of comedy and pop culture references. This issue is a good reminder of that fact. It's a lot of fun to see a lone Deadpool defend his new human friends and wage war against a bizarre, eclectic army of Deadpools. We see more of the strange culture these Deadpools have constructed. At the same time, Cullen Bunn digs deeper into the nature of our hero and the notion that he may be crazier and more unstable than those Deadpools he kills. Nik Virella's art continues to do this series justice, blending a gritty, grayscale Walking Dead aesthetic with the expressive, monochromatic antics of the Deadpools. My only concern at this point is that the story takes a weird swerve in the final pages. Can the book maintain its charm as it grows more and more self-aware? -Jesse
