It took me a little while to realize it, but Aquaman is taking an interesting swerve — it's basically DC Comics' underwater take on Game of Thrones. Lots of characters being juggled, this underlying political intrigue, it's definitely Geoff Johns stretching some very different muscles than I've seen from him before. Sometimes the energy can be a little lacking, however, but that's partially because Johns assumes we're already in Aquaman's corner. Paul Pelletier's designwork is still clean and imminently easy to take in, which is good, as there aren't quite as many big visual beats for him to hit (and the few splashes don't quite hit home). This book is missing a key likeability that holds it back from super-success, but the tonal shift is still a fascinating one.

Buongiorno ragazzi, è un po' di tempo che sono assente, ma come sempre è il buon johns a farmi tornare...ho ripreso in mano i primi numeri del nuovo aquaman, per rileggere il tutto dall'inizio.che dire come sempre il buon johns non sbaglia un colpo, si prende i disegnatori migliori e zacc ti tira fuori dal cilindro letture divertenti e piacevoli.
Pellettier è bravo, sarà un ottimo sostituto.
Benvenuto al re di Atlantide tra i big finalmente.
Jhons ha inoltre affinato la sua capacità di sintesi, riesce a mettere dei dettagli, senza lunghe spiegazioni, anche solo tramite un paio di scelte di sceneggiatura, che fanno capire al lettore delle cose, tipo il livello di potere del personaggio o le sue debolezze
In questo mi ricorda molto, ed è un paragone difficile, ma ad istinto mi viene fuori, il regista M.Night Shyamalan.

Hola Kal! 

Io ho visto qualche tavola di Pelletier su Aquaman e devo dire che se la cava veramente bene.

Per ora questa serie è strepitosa. Sono fermo alle letture italiane ovviamente, ma oh, super-eroismo all'ennesima potenza, e bellissimo!

Il #18 continua sui livelli precedenti; Johns sta facendo una run davvero stupenda che avrà peso per gli anni futuri del personaggio.

Spendo volentieri due parole per Pellitier che sta facendo anche lui un lavorone nonostante dovesse sostituire un mostro sacro come Reis. Resta sempre una testata ottima questa!
