Non è equo. Alla Marvel rilanciano ogni anno le serie e la DC in media ogni 5 anni (finora), mi aspetto che abbassino anche loro la media.

Io invece mi aspetto che aumenteranno la frequenza dei numeri 1 anche alla D.C.
Quando vararono il "New 52" col semi-reboot fecero un colpaccio nelle vendite.
E penso che adesso che hanno visto che il trucchetto Marvel funziona lo useranno anche loro.
E sempre più spesso.

C'è da dire che i lettori DC "sembrano" un po' più fedeli di quelli Marvel. Per quanto non facciano numeri stratosferici, le serie DC sono seguite mediamente con le stesse vendite anche dopo quattro anni e mezzo, seppur con un lieve calo fisiologico. Con dei numeri 48-49-50 ecc. che vendono quanto i numeri 11-12-13 Marvel. Dunque anche qui mi viene il dubbio su quale sia l'approccio giusto. I numeri uno, ok, raddoppiano le vendite ma già dai numeri due le vendite calano e non di poco. Che poi di starting point ce ne sono stati diversi anche in DC New 52 senza azzerare la numerazione. Sarei curioso di vedere le vendite attuali di una serie Marvel che ipoteticamente raggiunge il numero 50. Ma è già difficile vedere un numero 18, quindi figuriamoci.

L'ho spiegato alcune pagine fa il motivo di tutti questi numero 1 Marvel.
E' un modo per fregare le fumetterie americane, che non possono rischiare di "restare a secco" nel momento in cui viene lanciata una nuova serie.
Quindi sono costrette prenotare parecchie copie, sperando che le prenotazioni dei clienti coprano il quantitativo ordinato da loro alla Diamond.

Quando poi realizzano che il venduto reale è il 20-30% di quanto prenotato, ecco che riducono drasticamente  le prenotazioni...ed assistiamo al normale crollo verticale dei numeri dopo il 6.

Per questo vediamo dei numeri 48-49-50 della D.C. che vendono quanto i numeri 11-12-13 della Marvel.
Una volta finito "l'Effetto Primi Numeri" la situazione si normalizza, ed a quel punto si vendono le copie REALI.
E così, con la situazione normalizzata, torna a vendere di più il personaggio, o il gruppo, che in quel momento ha più fans.
Ad esempio, nel Novembre del 2013, Green Lantern 25 vendeva circa lo stesso numero di copie di X-Men 7...

This is the Top Ten Bleeding Cool Bestseller List, as compiled by a number of comic stores from their sales on Wednesday and Thursday. It measures what are known as the "Wednesday Warriors", those who can't wait to the weekend to get this week's comics. We salute you, and the keenness you bring to your passion.

This week's best-selling comic was Harley Quinn beating both Batman and Suicide Squad Rebirth... and while Walking Dead's new storyline makes it into the top ten, nothing from Marvel Comics does.

This week, not a single Marvel title made our store's top ten list. In fact, the highest-ranked Marvel, Doctor Strange #10, came in at #16 this week, finishing behind Animosity (#11),Paper Girls (#12), James Bond (#13), and Kill or Be Killed (#14). Think about that for a minute: a Marvel title starring the hero soon to be featured in a major motion picture not only didn't make the Top Ten, but came in behind nine DCs and five independent titles. Never in the history of our store has a major company fallen this far this fast. Hey, Marvel, when do you guys start your Rebirth and begin giving readers the Marvel Comics they want, featuring the characters they love treated with the respect they deserve?

Strong continuing interest in Punisher and pre Flashpoint Batman and Superman.

DC is really cooking on all cylinders, awesome move to have both Suicide Squad And Harley Quinn Rebirth #1's to come out the same week as the movie. Was able to get a ton of non comic customers into those comics (and other rebirth comics too). Marvel did make a little bit of a comeback with both Deadpool #16 and Deadpool V Gambit #3 beating Aquaman. Kill or Be Killed almost made the top ten it would be great to have another strong selling Image book.

Let me guess...Harley Quinn #1 was the #1 book of the week. Would make sense since it almost doubled Batman sales this week and Batman was still a huge mover. Walking Dead and Animosity were the only independent titles on the top 10 this week. Lady Killer almost made it.

Darth Vader still moving on the back issue front along with anything with Toad on the cover for Marvel comics???

Harley Quinn 1 was easily this week's big winner. We had an exclusive cover for the issue so the issue at times was being bought three times by people thanks to the three different covers. Suicide Squad 1 came in second thanks to a certain movie. Also go see the movie. If you listen to the critics you would be seeing the movie Piano instead of any superhero movies. Invincible Iron Man 12 made a surprise sell out thanks to the new Iron Man (woman?) finally meeting Tony which has sparked new interest. Other than Iron Man Marvel is limping along till their next re launch. Deadpool interest and sales have even dropped off sharper than I would have thought. As I have stated before that is part of a re launch. People over all just wait till the re launch to check it out. Why get into something that is ending?

Harley Quinn anything is hot right now. Even the past variant covers with her on them.

Just 1 Marvel in our top 10 this week? Rebirth is STILL doing very well.

DC Beat Marvel's Marketshare In July 2016 – 41% With A Third Fewer Comics.
I understand last month that there were ructions in the hallways at DC Comics, over the news that in the first month of DC Rebirth, they came nowhere close to challenging Marvel Comics for dominance. But that was a month in which most of the titles had not undergone the Rebirth process. Indeed in August we are still seeing the books go through that relaunch. We may not be able to properly judge its success or failure for a few months.

However this is the figure that DC Comics was waiting for,

Last month DC placed seven titles in the top ten  saw their marketshare moving from  May's dollar share of 26.45% and sales share of 26.34% to June's 29.93% and 31.69%. Well July has given them 35.36% of the dollar share and 40.96% of the number of comics sold.

While Marvel Comics has dropped to 34.20% and 35.69%. It's a rout. DC Comics also take the top three with Justice League and Batman, Civil War II knocked to fourth and seventh place respectively as DC Comics take 8 spots.

Also note that Marvel had 87 comics out in July. And DC had 63, a third fewer.

Image Comics has also recovered slightly to a 8.15% dollar share and a 7.56% sale share, still down on their 10% usual figure.

June 2016 also saw a massive reversal in the downwad slump that had been hitting comic book store sales this year, in one move changing a two figure digit drop for the year to a single figure, with just one month's sales with a 31.77% rise in dollars spent and a 38.59% rise in comics sold. Sales are down on that for July, but that's comparing a four week to a five week month – and they are not down a week's worth.

June was the best news for a comic book retailer all year. July continues that story.

Diamond also reports that The Walking Dead #156 was Image Comics' best-selling book in July at #32.  ROM #1 was IDW Publishing's top book at #75. And Dark Horse Comics' Black Hammer #1, ranked #117.

Non fanno testo, sono le solite "prenotazioni pazze" che effettuano le fumetterie americane in anticipo, per evitare di restare senza copie e non possano quindi coprire le prenotazioni REALI dei loro abbonati.
Quando realizzeranno l'incul...la fregatura che hanno preso ridurranno drasticamente le loro prenotazioni.

L'unico albo che ha le prenotazioni reali probabilmente è Walking Dead 157, visto che già del 155 erano state prenotate oltre 71.000 copie.
