STARGIRL Casts AMY SMART, Three More - Report


DC Universe's Stargirl has added four actors to its cast, rounding out the core players of the in-development streaming series, according to Deadline.

First up, MacGyver actress Amy Smart will reportedly portray Barbara Whitmore, mother of Brec Bassinger's Courtney Whitemore/Stargirl, and wife of Luke Wilson's Pat Dugan.

Alongside Smart, Robbie actor Trey Romano will join the Whitmore household as Mike Dugan, Courtney Whitmore's step-brother and Pat Dugan's son.

Meanwhile, two more actors have reportedly joined the cast in unnamed roles. First up there's Kingsman: The Great Game actor Neil Jackson. He'll join the cast with Unfollow actor Hunter Sansone. also playing an unidentified character.

Jackson and Sansone could be portraying members of the Justice Society, some of whom have been cast for the show.

Stargirl is expected to premiere in August on the DC Universe streaming service.
