I disegni sono per ora il mio unico motivo di interesse.
Sono solo 4 numeri, ma non credo che andrò di spillati. Attenderò opinioni e poi valuterò l'acquisto del volume, mi sa.

DWJ lavora principalmente nell'indie, per esempio in Image. Se non sbaglio sarà ospite a Lucca.

Non sono spillati, ma brossurati dalle dimensioni più grandi.

Sì, è il formato prestige. Ho usato impropriamente "spillato" per intendere la prima pubblicazione, serializzata, dell'opera a differenza della raccolta.

Wonder Woman: Dead Earth #1 (Published by DC Comics; Review by Forrest C. Helvie; 'Rama Rating: 7 out of 10):

A woman out of her time, Diana finds herself transplanted into a post-apocalyptic future where the earth lies scorched and humanity seems to have reverted back to its early days as hunters and gatherers in order to survive. Writer/artist Daniel Warren Johnson's story positions Wonder Woman as humanity's last surviving hero and protector, and it very much plays out like a superhero riff on Mad Max: Fury Road as far as the narrative goes. Artistically, Johnson and Spicer's style complements the raw and rough world where Diana finds herself and really sets the tone for the first issue. Aside from the "Elseworlds" nature of the story, however, there wasn't an edginess that suggested why this would be a part of the DC: Black Label line (which one could argue has already tapped the alternate future well dry with Snyder and Capullo's Batman: The Last Knight on Earth). Still, fans of dystopian superhero sci-fi, this first issue should provide enough to whet their appetite.

Fighissimo! Adoro lo stile di DWJ con le sue deformazioni e quel modo particolare di rendere il movimento, ma anche la storia mi è piaciuta.

E' un mondo allo sbando con regole crudeli. Niente di nuovo, vero, ma le classiche situazioni mostrate mi sembrano ben gestite. C'è anche un rimando visivo alla prima stagione di Vikings  :lol:
La battaglia è davvero adrenalinica!

Mi sa che è una delle cose migliori della DC in questo 2019  :lolle:

Bisogna dirlo, la DC ultimamente ci sta marciando sul post-apocalittico! Dopo DCeased e Batman: Last Knight on Earth, ora anche WW ha la sua storia ed è bellissima!
Disegni molto ma molto interessanti e azzeccati per il ritmo della narrazione. E i colori..  :wub:
Vedere poi che citano altri personaggi DC come è sempre piacevole.

La missione che si è imposta Diana non sarà semplice, ma io resto a bordo volentieri! :sisi:

Come guida le truppe alla carica Diana non lo fa nessuno..  :wub: (in realtà Théoden è più figo ma oh.. :sisi:)
Enorme rivelazione sulle Haedras e tristissima verità..anche se forse, essendo una storia ambientata in un futuro post apocalittico, c'era da aspettarselo.
E qui la situazione cambia..ma non è un problema, visto che siamo a metà e tantissime cose possono ancora accadere.

Diciamo che questo si può considerare come il numero rivelazione :sisi:
Ci viene mostrato come mai Diana non è riuscita a fermare la guerra contro Themyscira e soprattutto vediamo chi si è opposto a lei..facendo una brutta fine.
I rimandi al passato come sempre sono ben accetti in queste storie post apocalittiche (specialmente se si vede la Trinità, anche se di sfuggita) e proprio grazie ai ricordi WW può ritrovare sicurezza in sè stessa.

Poi ci sono due momenti davvero niente male.
Uno scontro faccia a faccia con un certo Azzurrone..
...e un momento totalmente WTF! :asd: ma in linea con quello che si è visto nei numeri precedenti.

Diana forse ha trovato l'arma giusta da usare contro le Haedras..  :lolle:

Ultimo numero ed è tutta battaglia! Ed è una gioia per gli occhi!
Ovviamente qui si va al succo del discorso e bisogna concludere la faccenda..e una sola è la soluzione contro menti per forza di cose già mutate e deviate.
WW è una furia (più spesso dovrebbe essere rappresentata in questo modo) e si trova davanti ad una scelta sofferta, da che parte stare, ma la cosa risulta direi scontata.

Notevole anche il fatto di aver dato all'umanità la facoltà di a Diana, questo si scontra con tutto quello letto in questi quattro numeri.

Finale poi.. Johnson vada avanti con il sequel grazie! :dsi:

A me questa mini è piaciuta un botto, sicuramente tra le ultime uscite più interessanti della DC. Daniel Warren Johnson giganteggia come sempre, quanto è bravo ragazzi! :w00t:

eh auguri, con tutto il casino che è successo in DC ultimamente bisogna vedere come si muoveranno, spero non rimanga nel limbo come la miniserie di Supergirl che scrisse la Tamaki anni fa. Cmq ho ordinato il cartonato, non vedo l'ora esca.

Come mi ero ripromesso, l'ho letta tutta di fila e l'ho apprezzata anche parecchio.
Molto interessante la storia, con colpi di scena ben dorati.
Disegni apprezzati molto, davano un tocco molto da fumetto europeo.
