DC Delays Super Sons And Justice League Of America Until 2017

At the DC Rebirth launch, DC Comics announced two books Super Sons and Justice League Of America. But there has been no sign of them since.

Could these be the Mystic U and Dark Universe of the DC Rebirth? Maybe not.

In an interview with ICV2 with DC Entertainment co-publishers Dan DiDio and Jim Lee, DiDio gave an update

One of the things that's strange is we were planning #1s through September and possibly into October, but the relaunch was so strong at the beginning that we actually delayed some of the later books into next year to give them more time to spend, to build them creatively, but also we didn't feel the urgency. We wanted to make sure we didn't overwhelm the fan base right from the start with so many titles that we decided to delay some of the material. So we made slight adjustment on our schedule so books like Justice League America and Super Sons that we announced for later this year are moving into 2017.

Slipped info indicated that Super Sons was by Chris Burns, Dennis Culver and Jorge Jimenez. Justice League Of America has an unknown creative cast.

Hanno posticipato Super Sons e JLA fino al 2017 per dar spazio ai vari team creativi di mettere in piedi le varie storie e pg (vedi Superboy in AC e Superman) e per non inondare il mercato di #1...Scelta saggia, per una volta non sono stati impulsivi!

Secondo me coglieranno l'occasione (ammesso che non sia sempre stato questo il loro intento) per fare un secondo rilancio, di nuovi titolo tho, tipo JSA, la Legione, Shazam, Super Sons, JLA e chissà cosa altro...

DC's SUPER SONS Ongoing Dovetails Into REBIRTH Wave 2

The Super Sons ongoing title is now scheduled to debut February 2017 as part of DC's second wave of "Rebirth" titles. The news was announced by the publisher at the New York Comic Con 2016 Diamond Retailer Breakfast.

The title was originally announced as part of DC's initial wave of "Rebirth" titles, with writers Chris Burns and Dennis Culver and artist Jorge Jimenez, with a September 2016 launch. There is no new word from DC if those creators are still attached to the title.

No reason was given for the schedule change, although Jimenez has been enlisted recently on several Superman-related titles in "Rebirth."

Super Sons is the third title in DC's second wave of "Rebirth" titles, following Justice League of America and Batwoman. Another title, Earth 2, was also included in the original "Rebirth" announcement but has yet to be scheduled.
