Concordo con AZ. Da temp Snyder mi sembra uno che si crede il top scrittore in circolazione, forse anche a causa del successo che ha negli USA, io lo reputo uno scrittore abbastanza pasticcione e che si è sopravvalutato montandosi la testa.
Non so spiegarmi altrimenit come uno da Lo Specchio Nero possa finire a partore robaccia come Metal...

Poi onestamente ora, col passare degli anni, ha anche cambiato il suo modo atteggiarsi, pare più...sciallo.
Un tempo, nonostante fosse al top della DC e adorato da tutti, paradossalmente era perennemente agitato, ansioso e francamente patetico.

Quel "Scott Snyder" è ancora lì, dentro di lui, non penso cambierà mai più di tanto e cercherà sempre di spararla più grossa di prima e più di tutti.

Poi ultimamente ogni volta che lo sento parlare o leggo le sue parole, pare veramente che stia dicendo le sue cose con Geoff Johns fisso nella testa.

Anche qua...cioè dai...

Chi ha letto DClock sa bene cosa abbia fatto Geoff con 80 anni di storie DC.
O con il New 52 DC.

E il New 52 è come se fosse l'Era di Scott Snyder, capite? E da sempre viene vista come un big mistake.
Però di fatto HA un posto nel DCU, e lo ha detto anche Geoff, ma boh...Snyder pare solo che si sia offeso o non ha capito quello che voleva dire Geoff, oppure vuole veramente farsi passare come uno che la pensa come Geoff, boh non lo so, di fatto alla fine ci troviamo davanti ad un CTRL+C/CTRL+V merdoso da parte di Snyder.

Come se non fosse già chiaro dopo DClock, Snyder si è preso la briga di rispiegarci di nuovo che "Everything is canon" ovvero, "It all matters".
Solo che Geoff lo fa con una certa classe, ha un suo stile, il suo storytelling è molto più subtle, mentre Snyder è un balls to the wall, bonkers, una fottuta tamarrata stile X-Men anni '90, i guess questo è un modo di palesare le cose anche ai lettori più giovani.

Letto DC The Doomed and the Damned #1

lol, la storia con Bats era praticamente un mezzo riferimento ad una vecchia teoria dell'Hypercrisis, ovvero quella del "Dragon in the Mirror", come storia Halloween ci stava dai, ma io l'ho apprezzata per altre ragioni.

Molte altre storie non mi hanno detto niente, ma quella di Ra's scritta da Wolfman era carina.
Rossmo ormai lo usano sporadicamente per questi one-shots a random eee lo capisco.
Quella con Superman e Swampy era ok, quella con Aquaman e Frankenstein era stranamente wholesome, ma quella finale di Ennis con Darkseid era da un WTF assurdo.

Spiacente, ma non sei autorizzato a visualizzare il contenuto degli spoiler.

Taylor proprio non è in grado di fare un meta-commentary, lui praticamente porta in vita il sottotesto, te lo legge ad alta voce, proprio il contrario di show don't tell.
E per quanto riguarda il finale...meh, ho già capito dove vuole andare a parare con questo deus ex machina in mano a Joker e mi fa schifo, sta praticamente andando a rovinare Injustice Year 1 con questa retcon.

The DC Omniverse – Continuity Changes In 2021, After Future State

What is the DC Omniverse? Yesterday we looked at how the recent Death Metal: Rise Of The New God was setting up what may be coming for the DC Universe in March 2021, after the two-month Future State initiative.

Well, the rumours are hotting up. What remains of the New 52, after DC Rebirth, Death Metal and Future State, is being done away with in favour of an Omniverse model. In which characters and comic books are no longer tied to a strict continuity but will play faster and looser with history.

This is a direct rejection of former DC publisher Dan DiDio's plans for a new DC Timeline that had began to be set up earlier in the year. Shown off on a New York Comic-Con stage, and filleted by Bleeding Cool, it was intended to be published in this year's DC Comics Free Comic Book Day title. But after publisher Dan DiDio was fired, every single copy was pulped – not one copy escaped to the aftermarket, despite four-figure sums being offered by enthusiastic collectors to anyone who might have one on the side. If any departing DC editors have a stack of them in their office drawer, they could pay for their retirement.

I also understand that DC is currently working on putting together a new event comic to birth this new reality, to be published in March or April, for this new unrestrained storytelling approach. Basically, DC Rebirth written by people other than Geoff Johns, a framing story for all the books spinning out of it into 2021, couched in a new kind of Omniversal continuity to persuade people that everything still matters.

Because some disquiet I have heard is that Dan DiDio's expressed status of the new DC Universe that "everything happened, everything matters" may become an "everything happened, nothing matters". For some, continuity is a major aspect of superhero comic books, a single, extended history, with many books having the question asked of them, "does it count". Half of the questions asked of Doomsday Clock and The Three Jokers, titles set up by the heavy-continuity DC Rebirth, were about whether they were in-canon, whether they counted, whether they mattered, the answer being "not since Geoff Johns left DC Comics as CCO."

But what the DC Omniverse will mean is greater creative freedom, less interference by editors (or publishers), and no one saying "you can't use that character, they died in City of Bane/got lost in a Dark Dimension/went evil and currently approaching Gotham, slowly, with all her plants."

And lots of new variants of characters to license as toys, or to be turned into new direct-to-TV animations. The Elseworlds stories have done very well for Warners, this might make every DC comic book an Elseworld title. Once upon a time, this was called Hypertime, but DC Comics never really committed to it. Now, it seems, they are. Hopefully, that increased creative freedom will make up for the lower page rates starting to come in...

Diamine, questo è...tipo l'ANTI-5G, hai capito Didio???

Geoff è da...tipo Darkseid War che ha cominciato a ragionare in questa maniera, fregandosene della continuity o meglio...va per i fatti suoi e non ci pensa più di tanto, fortuna che sennò sarebbe stato costretto ad incorporare alcune cagate del DCYOU o City of Bane e balle varie.

Nah, Hypertime tutta la vita, fam.
