Numero che ci ha messo un sacco ad ingranare e che mi ha annoiato non poco...

a me è piaciuto molto, mi ha ricordato molto quei videogiochi survival o film hollywoodiani che amo molto, in cui una squadra va a fare chiarezza in un avamposto/laboratorio di cui non si hanno più notizie... dead space o exstermination ad esempio.

Esatto, anche a me ha dato la stessa impressione. Fino ad adesso comunque non mi ha preso tantissimo questa serie, ce la mettono davvero tutta per rendere Arthur il personaggio sfigato della JL (come non ricordare l'episodio di Big Bang Theory in cui c'era Raj vestito proprio da Aquaman in groppa ad un cavalluccio marino... ). Spero che con il film dove a mio parere è il personaggio più cazzuto gli diano una svolta un pochino più dark.

Mix Aquaman with a healthy dose of 1987's The Abyss and you basically have the "H2.0" storyline. The name is a little dumb, but the execution sure isn't. The series greatly benefits from the increased focus on horror elements in here. It's not easy to make Aquaman and Mera feel vulnerable in their natural element. That's the appeal of Dead Water, a villain who seems capable of striking from anywhere. There's a very tense, claustrophobic feel to this issue. And even when the scope opens up as Arthur and Mera descend deeper into the ocean and encounter prehistoric monstrosities, the tension only continues to grow. Phillipe Briones's art is critical in creating that sense of tension. Briones has grown into a very capable partner to Brad Walker on this series, displaying a similar flair for thick, detailed line-work and dramatic angles. It's enough to wonder if both artists should be tackling horror comics more often. -Jesse

fossero state 22 pagine di sole botte, avrei concordato.
