ADDIO è il settimo e ultimo capitolo di THIEF OF THIEVES, una serie a fumetti creata da Robert Kirkman. Un emozionante crime noir, che si è imposto come una delle più innovative rivisitazioni del thriller contemporaneo.
La febbre dell'oro che ha spinto Conrad Paulson – meglio conosciuto come Redmond, cioè il ladro più famoso e ricercato del pianeta – a cimentarsi con una sfida suicida è passata. Ma è passata lasciando aperto un interrogativo terribile: Conrad è morto? O è riuscito a sfuggire a un'esecuzione che sembrava ineluttabile? La risposta è chiusa dietro le sbarre di un famigerato carcere russo. È là che scopriremo come e quando Redmond ha deciso di dire addio a tutto.

Ottimo, vediamo come va a finire!

Letto il settimo e ultimo volume e non nascondo che ho fatto molta fatica a finire di leggerlo. La narrazione è molto didascalia e piena di spiegoni che spezzano il ritmo e disinnescano le bombe che gli autori hanno piazzato qua e là e che in realtà non sono nemmeno tanto male. Peccato ma credo che il fatto sia dovuto principalmente ai continui ripensamenti sul personaggio e su quest'idea di vendetta nei confronti degli Zubov che alla fine porta Redmond ad escogitare un piano talmente arzigogolato che ci vorrebbe un manuale per spiegarlo per filo e per segno.
Comunque le avventure di Conrad si concludono qui e il finale è perfettamente in linea con il personaggio e chissà che in futuro non ne leggeremo altre storie.

Sei stato molto generoso con il voto Morde..
Sinceramente sono rimasto basito: con un volume sono riusciti a rovinare quella che per qualche anno è stata una serie molto divertente e mozzafiato...
Non si può cambiare totalmente ritmo alla serie, solo perchè cambia lo scrittore...
La storia è piena di testo e dialoghi PESSIMI, fossero stati scritti bene ci potevo anche passare su... ma niente.. ci ho messo tre giorni a finirlo da quanto mi ha annoiato.

Vergogna a Kirkman per aver dato il via libera a questa roba.. e a Diggle non gliela perdono di essersene andato proprio alla fine
