Trama interessante. L'ho sentita definire come "serie sorella" di The Empty man. Peccato che non abbia letto neanche quella (non credo sia arrivata mai in Italia), anche se mi sembra abbia dei bei disegni.

Cullen Bunn knows his way around a horror tale. And yet, with The Unsound it feels like the writer simply can't wait to get to the good stuff, and as a result this first issue comes off somewhat rushed. His premise is sound — a newly employed, wet-behind-her-ears nurse encounters freaky dealings at a mental hospital — but Bunn pushes so hard and fast with the scares that the rest of the plot has little time to cement. As a result the various frights, while certainly unsettling, never quite ratchet up the requisite suspense. That being said, Bunn does do a solid job of sprinkling in pieces to a bigger picture, with some unique history and a few running themes in play. At the end of the day, however, it's Jack T. Cole who proves the main draw. Much like Bunn, the artist excels when things get dark, his design work far more engaging the more unnerving it gets. -Jeff

Ottimo inizio, Bunn ci sa fare con l'horror. Ma qui Cole, nelle scene più dark, da il meglio di se, facendoti letteralmente provare timore per quello che sta succedendo. Ottima prova
